FAQ on Event Booking

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. How do I register for events organised by Fire Safety Manager's Association Singapore?
Ans: You can register for events at http://www.fsmas.org.sg/index.php/events/current-events  
 
2. Can I pay cash?
Ans: Payment for individual and corporate registration is by a credit card (Amex, Visa, MasterCard, Diners) via PayPal gateway.

For registration by Government Agencies and Ministries and Statutory Board, payment is via AGD e-Invoice Portal.

a)  contact person agrees to furnish in the electronic registration correct and up-to-date information of "name of Ministry/Statutory Board", "Department" and "Sub-Business Unit" to faciliate submission of e-invoice via AGD e-Invoice Portal by organiser
b)  organiser reserves the rights to cancel registration should incorrect information for submission of e-invoice via AGD e-Invoice Portal is furnished by contact person in electronic registration. The registration will be purged from the system and there will be no notification of cancellation of any form. 
c)  full payment must be made prior the actual event day to guarantee registration/seat. 
 
3. How would I be informed for my confirmed seat?
Ans: After every successful and completed registration with payment of fee, a receipt from organiser and PayPal will be sent to the email address provided during your electronic registration. Both receipts serve as a confirmation of your registration/guarantee of seat.
 
4. What is the difference between Corporate and Individual Registration?
Ans:
Corporate Registration is strictly and solely for companies with bulk registration (maximum 30 participants) where only one single receipt will be issued to the corporate contact person who has registered for their staffs.
Individual Registration is strictly for any individual where one registration is processed at a time.
 
5. When will my CPD points be credited?
Ans: SCDF will update the CPD points into the data record of FSM certified via e-Fire Safety Manager Portal after the event. FSM-CPD Programe/FSM-CPD Points is under the purview of SCDF.
 
6. I've registered for the wrong event date. I can’t make it now. Can I attend the next session?
Ans: You can only attend the session which you have registered. There is no postponement.

7. Can I transfer my seat to someone else as I’m unable to attend?
Ans: Seat confirmed is not replaceable, transferable or postpone in the event that participant is unable to attend on the said event day, for whatever reasons.

8. I’ve registered for the event but I can’t make it now. Can I get a refund?
Ans: Fees paid are not refundable or transferable in the event that participant cancels after payment or does not show up on the said event day, for whatever reasonsCorporate contact person, as well as individual or another organisation will still be liable for the payment in the event of no-show on said event day.

 

9. How do I know the CPD points are already awarded to me?
Ans: You may log in to the e-Fire Safety Manager Portal via SingPass to check. The webpage link is http://www.scdf.gov.sg/content/scdf_internet/en/building-professionals/fire-safety-manager.html
 
10. Is there SDU points awarded for FSM Briefing?
Ans: Only CPD points will be awarded for FSM Briefing.
 
11. Can I amend the data information input and/or submitted in electronic registration?
Ans: For security reasons, there is no form of any amendment to be carried out once data information is submitted and filed in electronic registration.
 
12. Can I carry over excess CPD points accumulated for current cycle to the next cycle?
Ans: FSM is not able to carry over excess CPD points accumulated for current cycle to the next cycle.
 
13. Will CPD Points be awarded to me if I forget to sign in my attendance on the event day?
Ans: No CPD points will be awarded to FSM if he/she did not sign in his attendance on the event day.
 
14. Can I pay the event fee at the PayPal gateway if I do not have a PayPal Account?
Ans: Yes, you can by tabbing on "Check Out As A Guest" on the page and input information of your credit card.
